Readme.txt ========== MyFlix Version 1.4.0 Build 19980309 Windows 95/NT4.0 ************************************************************************* POST INSTALLATION ************************************************************************* General ======= The terms and conditions of your MyFlix license are located in the "Program Files\MediaWare Solutions\MyFlix\doc folder" by default. (This location will vary depending on where you chose to install MyFlix.) If you are running the demo version then you have a 14 day evaluation licence and a number of features are not available. See the Help file for details. We recommend that you download and install a copy Microsoft's ActiveMovie which acts as an efficient video accelerator and audio driver for MyFlix. It's possible that you may already have ActiveMovie on your computer so to avoid an unnecessary re-installation you can get MyFlix to detect whether you have ActiveMovie installed on your system. Just load a movie, and play it - if you get no warning message then it's already installed. If you find you need it then the ActiveMovie distribution "amovie.exe" (1034 kb) is available from our web site. Simply run amovie.exe to install. See our support page at http://www.mediaware.com.au/support.html if you need more information on ActiveMovie 1.0 and 2.0. For best results we recommend adjusting your display settings to use a minimum of 16 bit colour (24 bit TrueColor is recommended). Registry Operations (Only if you are comfortable with Regedt32!) =================== - The default folder for storing your MyFlix generated datafiles can be changed through the registry. Change the value of the DATA entry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\MediaWare Solutions\MyFlix\1\ to your preferred folder. Other ===== - Some MPEG players ignore the PTS timestamp and lose sync playing the audio track of a MyFlix generated MPEG stream. Players that are known to play the audio properly are MpegTV Player (v1.0), ShowMe TV (v 1.1 from Sun Microsystems Inc) and ActiveMovie 1.0 and 2.0 (Microsoft Corporation). ************************************************************************* RELEASE NOTES TO MyFlix Version 1.4.0 build 19980309 ************************************************************************* - (new feature): Auto Repeat option added to player controls.
